Code of the Road (follow-up to 12/26)

I also have gotten e-mail because of my column in the winter issue of Footnotes, taking me to task for saying that Baby Joggers should be left at home if one is going to a race. The issue will come up again in my next column.

A race is by its nature a competitive event, not a family stroll. When my kids were small, I had a babysitter. I would no more have run a race with them in tow than I would run a race wearing ice skates. (Freddi Carlip, aka "Ms. Road Manners" for the RRCA)
